Silk Road - 21 May 2009 - Dinner at Farm in Turfan

We had dinner in the home of a Uygur family and the food was excellent. They do this as a side line. The food was excellent and I got the chance to practice my two words of Arabic. They served a dried melon which was delicious. I asked our guide where I could purchase it and she said that the family sold it. I also bought some of their red raisins.

We returned to the hotel in Turfan and called it a night.
