Silk Road - 17 May 2009 - Blue Mosque
Our next stop was the Blue Mosque. Its real name is the Mosque of Sultan Ahmet. It was built in 1609 and opened for use in 1617. It has been in continual use since then. It is called the Blue Mosque because Blue is the dominant color of its interior decorations.
