Silk Road - 17 May 2009 - Topkapi

Topkapi palace was the next stop. It was used as the Sultan’s Palace until 1856 when he moved to a new palace. In general pictures were not permitted in most of the rooms. There are some religious items stored there, which the sultan would come back to see. Included are a footprint from Mohamed, Moses’ staff, Joseph’s turban and a few others.View of Topkapi
