I took the optional tour this afternoon, which involved a reconstructed village and a nice restaurant out in the countryside. The village that was selected for the project was the birthplace of Tito. He is remembered with ambivalence. As a relatively ruthless dictator, he held Yugoslavia together and as a communist, everyone had a job with free benefits. Half have fond memories of the later and half have bad memories of the former. Since it was raining, the tour was not as much fun as it would have been without the rain.
